Milo — The Gentle Giant
Don’t let Milo’s big, strong appearance fool you — underneath that impressive exterior is a complete teddy bear.
Milo is our friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully playful family dog. She loves attention, cuddles, belly rubs, and making new friends. She may give you a curious look when you arrive, but she is simply deciding whether you might be her next best friend.
Once she knows you’re friendly, expect a wagging tail and a very enthusiastic welcome!
Milo’s specialty: cuddles, playtime, and making guests feel like family.
Thor, Tess & Tizz — The Slow-Motion Squad
Meet Thor, Tess, and Tizz — our three resident tortoises and the undisputed experts in taking life slowly.
They don’t believe in rushing anywhere, and honestly, they may be onto something.
You’ll often find them peacefully exploring the garden, enjoying the sunshine, or simply contemplating the important questions of life — such as “Is there another leaf over there?”
Their specialty: slow walks, peaceful vibes, and reminding everyone that there is absolutely no need to hurry.
The Occasional Monkey Visitors
If you’re lucky, you may catch a little monkey family making its way from the forest behind the property across our garden trees.
Don’t be alarmed — they’re simply neighborhood visitors dropping by for a little gossip, a quick look around, and perhaps some breakfast before heading off again.
They usually come and go on their own schedule, because apparently, even monkeys have busy social calendars!
Their specialty: tree-top acrobatics and unexpected garden appearances.
Misty & Rusty — The Selective Socialites
Misty and Rusty are our sibling cats, and they have mastered the art of looking like they have very important places to be.
They may seem a little reserved or snobbish at first, but don’t take it personally. Cats simply like to take their time.
Give them a little space, a little patience, and perhaps a little attention when they ask for it — and before you know it, you may have two new furry besties following you around.
Their specialty: pretending they don’t care… until they absolutely do.
The Koi Pond — Our Quiet Neighbors
Our koi fish are beautiful, peaceful, and very much committed to their privacy.
You’re welcome to admire them, say hello, and watch them glide gracefully through the pond — but please don’t try to swim with the fishes. They are not particularly interested in sharing their swimming pool!
Their specialty: graceful swimming, peaceful living, and politely ignoring everyone.
Our Garden Visitors
The garden is also a favorite stop for squirrels and a wonderful variety of birds.
Some come for a snack, some come to show off their flying skills, and others simply sit quietly in the trees as though they’re reflecting on the meaning of life.
You never quite know who might show up —so keep your eyes open!
Their specialty: turning an ordinary morning into a little wildlife show.
Mr. Jagath & Ms. Deepika — Our House Managers
Behind every comfortable stay is someone making sure everything runs smoothly.
Mr. Jagath and Ms. Deepika are a kind, helpful couple who manage the property. They live in the private back unit of the main house and are always ready to greet our guests with a warm smile and a helping hand.
Need assistance with something? They’re happy to help wherever they can and will do their best to make your stay comfortable.
And if you’d like a taste of home, they can also prepare wonderful, authentic Sri Lankan dishes upon request.
Their specialty: warm hospitality, helpful hands, and delicious Sri Lankan cooking.
